PLEASE PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE OF UKRAINE AND FOR THE CONFOUNDING OF SUCH EVIL RUSSIAN AGGRESSION

URGENT – PLEASE NOTE: MASSES FOR THIS SUNDAY
With the agreement of the Parish Pastoral Council, and for this Sunday only, we will revert to our previous pattern of Mass times – for parishioners, Saturday at 5.30 pm and on Sunday at 8.00 am at St Austin’s Church and 9.30 am at St Francis’ Church. The additional 11.15 am Mass will be reserved for the Catenians, due to their numbers. Bishop Timothy Menezes will be the Chief Concelebrant. The Catenian Circle is very grateful to the parish for accommodating the needs of our visitors.

WELCOME
Over the last few days, the National Conference of the Catenian Association has been held at the Chesford Grange Hotel. We welcome National and Local Officers, Brothers and Ladies at Mass this Sunday, together with Bishop Timothy Menezes.
We hope that your time together has been richly blessed, socially and spiritually. Travel home safely!

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK
The theme for Christian Aid Week this year has been climate change and its impact on vulnerable people who rely on agriculture to support their communities in avoiding hunger.  Your donations could still help fund vital agricultural training in order to establish climate resilient farming by working with the climate, not against it. It is not too late to make a donation, or for more information, please visit www.caweek.org
Sincere thanks from Christian Aid for your continued support, prayers and donations.

FROM THE SOCIETY OF ST VINCENT DE PAUL
The National SVP has provided an update - click here - informing us in some detail about their continuing support for families in South Sudan.
Our parish has generously contributed annually towards the baby feeding programme. Thank you again for all your generous contributions towards the work of the SVP.  We hope you find this update interesting.

WALKING TOGETHER - UNFOLDING GOD‘S PLAN  in our Parish
Following Archbishop Bernard’s Pastoral Letter, Fr Kevin invites us all to reflect on how we can continue to work together build a vibrant community of faith, joyful in our service of God and neighbour.  All are welcome to share in this important process.

Over the past year we have met to discuss and put into place plans to bring to life the Diocesan Vision Statement and how we continue to move forward as a parish - deepening our faith (formation and spiritual growth), sharing our faith (evangelisation), celebrating our faith (worship and liturgy) and witnessing our faith (social action) - click here for a summary.

Prayers for the sick

Our Parish actively encourages praying for our parishioners, relatives and friends who are sick and in need of support. Until now this has been achieved on an informal basis by parishioners providing details to one of our Priests.  With the advent of GDPR, we are obliged to make that process more formal - please click here in order to read more and to download the form that must be completed and given to one of our Priests.
