Catholic Women's League
The Catholic Women's League was founded in Kenilworth in 1952. We have a membership of just over 30 ladies and enjoy a wide and varied programme of activities. Our meetings are lively and there is a speaker, either secular or non secular, most months. An annual outing takes place each August. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm at the Parish Centre, St Francis of Assisi, Kenilworth.
We enjoy trips to the theatre, garden centres etc and have a Christmas party each December. We have also established two evenings of devotion, one in May to our Blessed Lady and an Advent evening in December. We fund-raise for many charities, including our own League charities, details of which can be found at: www.catholicwomensleaguecio.org.uk Many of our members are involved in other Parish activities, eg SALVE, Book Club and Pastimes, SVP etc.

LEAGUE HISTORY
The Catholic Women's League (CWL) is a charitable organisation founded by a convert, Margaret Fletcher, to unite Catholic lay women in a bond of friendship and to encourage them to use their talents in the service of the Church. The Catholic Women's League's mission since its formation in 1906 has been to educate and encourage Catholic women to play a role in the work of the Church at parish, diocesan, national and international levels.
If you are interested in being involved in a forward-looking organisation, with opportunities to discuss contemporary issues and spend time on spiritual matters, while also having a great deal of fun, then do get in touch with us!
